Budos Fever Strikes Brooklyn

WARNING: Budos Fever has reached near-epidemic proportions!  Due in large part to the band’s relentless touring schedule, outbreaks have been reported from coast to coast, touching the heartland of the States and Canada.  As one victim recounts: “They said to ‘get some cobra in my f#*@ing life!’ so I did.  Ever since putting Budos Band III on, nothing has been the same…”

Now, the Budos return to the scene of venomous initiation: Brooklyn, NY.  By the time they take the stage this Saturday, September 18th at Southpaw, the center for disease control believes that it will be too late.  Budos Fever will have, in fact, taken over.  According to top scientists and researchers, the only hope is for persons to succumb to the cobra and its venom.  “At this point, we’re expecting a full-fledged takeover. We ask that rather than fight it, the general populace give in to what we’re calling ‘Budos Fever Mayhem’”.

Attendees will initially be swooned by the sweet sounds of new soul sensation The Del-Reys - featuring members of the extended Daptone family, led by the vocals of one Alba Ponce de Leon. Near the stroke of 11pm, the sweetness will quickly give way to a dark, menacing display of rampant Budos Fever.  Symptoms include: uncontrollable dancing, heavy drinking and foul-mouthedness.
